How to Join the Crusader Staff


The Crusader staff is comprised of Seward County Community College/Area Technical School students, with a student editorial staff in charge of content of both the print and the online versions of the newspaper.

Since the Crusader is considered a campus club, students do not have to be enrolled in journalism courses to belong to the staff, and an active Crusader club status will satisfy college tuition grant requirements.

Those wishing to study journalism may enroll in news writing courses to learn the basics of news writing, reporting, ethics, and media law; newspaper practicum to learn design and hands-on production; broadcasting class to learn interview and on-air skills; or mass communications for an...
