Lack of character ruins movie

Louis Leterrier has been accustomed to making action films in his short career, and ‘Clash of the Titans’ is no exception. The movie begins by taking viewers into the history of the universe, and in a cool CGI shot portrays the story of the gods overthrowing the Titans through nebulas in the constellations.

Zeus then makes man, who feeds Zeus’ immortality through their prayers. But when man rebels against the gods, Zeus sees no alternative other than to allow his brother, Hades, to destroy the city Argos, the main city of the

Rebellion, with the Kraken. Perseus, who learns he is a demigod, son of Zeus, leads a campaign to find a way to destroy the Kraken, who is the creation of the evil god Hades.

Duo take listeners on a trip through ’80s

Goldfrapp is one of the most provocative and innovative bands in the music industry today. Chances are you have no idea who they are, but you have probably heard one of their songs on a commercial or movie.

After keeping fans waiting for two years, the duo, made up by Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, released their fifth album “Head First.”

The album, inspired by the new wave music of the '80s, includes many things one would expect from Goldfrapp, ethereal soundscapes and Alison's cool voice giving every song a haunting feeling. A crowd  of about 150 attended Carter’s show which is composed of many acts, including him being able to read and answer audience member’s questions while blindfolded and having duct tape over his eyes, lighting two fluorescent light bulbs without any electricity, hypnotizing an audience member and spelling the word “miracle” from letters that were shuffled and kept hidden from him.

“I like how he plays...

Long awaited book leaves no loose ends

It’s the book many Ted Dekker fans have been waiting for. Since the beginning of the circle trilogy, readers have longed for the last book in the series to be the book which would at last reveal the secrets of the circle trilogy, and “Green” is that book. There are mixed reviews of the book, as to its overall achievement in leaving the readers with a good taste in their mouths, and properly ending the series with no unanswered questions, and no loose ends.

The author of the book, Ted Dekker, exclaimed that this book would not only be that last book in the Circle series, but also the first book in the trilogy. New readers of the series are encouraged to start with Green, but, I feel that this is a horrible idea, and that beginners...
