Coach Galen McSpadden secured the 900th victory in his career with Seward County Community College.
The Saints beat Dodge City Community College on April 6 to give Coach McSpadden his monumental win.
McSpadden has been been coaching at SCCC for 27 seasons. He has helped the Saints to 10 Jayhawk West titles. The Saints have also been conference runner-ups four times under McSpadden.
Only 24 coaches in the NJCAA have won 900 games before McSpadden. Only 10 of those coaches are still active.
McSpadden has also recently been named head coach of the NJCAA Baseball All-Star Team.
McSpadden's team will compete against the Taiwan National team in June. The games will take place in Millington, Tennessee at the USA Baseball Stadium.
The team is made up of freshman and sophomores that played in the NJCAA during the 2008-2009 season.
The players must be nominated by their coaches and then McSpadden and his coaching staff will decide who will make up the official team.
Jeff Willis, from Louisiana State University- Eunice, and Marc Rardin, from Iowa Western Community College, will be assisting McSpadden.
