Get your party hats on! It is time for the 24th annual Seward County Community College  Foundation Auction. This year’s auction, “Welcome to the Jungle” will take place on Saturday, September 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Seward County Fairgrounds.

Chandler Kirkhart, Associate Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement, is leading the committee this year and plans on increasing the amount of funds raised.

“Our goal this year is to raise $50,000. This money goes towards the Foundation, which helps students at SCCC with scholarships and programs associated with the college. Last year, we raised over $38,000 but this year, we want to raise more money. We have new items this year ranging from  values of $5 to $5,000,” Kirkhart said.

The items range from jewelry to household items and even vacation getaways. There is something for everyone and anyone can come and enjoy.

Tickets this year are $20, which is cheaper than the previous years $35. There will also be a $5 all you can eat BBQ available at the event. Everyone in attendance is required to be 21 or older because alcohol will be served.

Childcare will be provided for parents wanting to attend. The prices for childcare are $5 per child. Come out and explore the jungle!
