Lady Saints dominate first game of season

The Lady Saints played Independence Community College on Jan. 28 and won with a score of 3-0. This win added to the Lady Saints streak of 56 conference wins in a row. 

Throughout the game, Seward had a lead over Independence. The first set ended with a score of 25-7 in which Yunju Lee was the leader on the offensive side. During the second set, Seward once again took the lead with 10-4.

They eventually ended the set with a score of 25-9. On the final set, Coach Geno Frugoli decided to switch up the players which resulted in Independence fighting more but in the end, the Lady Saints walked away with a score of 25-15 resulting in the first conference win for the Lady Saints.

Gabriela Badilla led the team with 15 kills on 30 attempts while setter Yunju Lee had 17 assists.

The Lady Saints will play Snow College in Sterling, Colorado on Jan 29. At 1:30 p.m.
