Tennis has two events qualify for nationals
September 27, 2021
The men’s and women’s tennis teams will both be represented at the fall national championship Oct. 14-16 in Rome, Georgia. Luchi Fisicaro and Karlo Krolo won the men’s doubles competition at the ITA regional tournament last Saturday while Justine Lespes won the women’s singles.
The regional tournament was played at Ark City and pitted all players from every class against each other. Individuals and doubles teams duked it out until only one remained standing. The winners at the regional level advance on to the Collin Open. This tournament pits players from all colleges and universities — D-1 to NCJAA — against each other in another “last person standing” competition.
