Lady Saints Volleyball team 2016. Seward County has drawn the 11-seed and will play 6-seed Polk State on Thursday, Nov. 17 in Casper, Wyo.

It’s just the sixth time in SCCC history that a volleyball team has made it to the national tournament and the Lady Saints are riding a high into Casper, Wyo., this week.

The 26-9 team is in the midst of a 10-game win streak heading into the most important matches of the year — the National NJCAA Volleyball Tournament. They’ve only lost two sets during this streak and will put it to the test Thursday, Nov. 17, when the 11-seed Lady Saints take on sixth-seed Polk State.

The most recent step in the long road to nationals came when SCCC won the Region VI Championship. It was the first time since 2003 that the Lady Saints had won this honor and did it by defeating their longtime rivals, Hutchinson Community College.
