Homecoming candidates announced
The SCCC 2019 homecoming king and queen candidates are Moises Alvarez, Miguel Perez, Brian Martinez, Ana Herrera, Alba Torres, Kaitlyn Van Vleet, Rodrigo Sanches. Not pictured: Cole Evans, Veronica Paul and Esmadar Tavares.

The homecoming king and queen for Seward County Community College will be crowned on Feb. 9 between the men’s and women ‘s basketball game. The women’s game starts at 6 p.m. and the men’s game starts at 8 p.m.

My parents, they have taught me and gave me everything I know and have so I want to give back to them.

Travel around the world, I like to explore and go on adventures that are challenging.
Ana Herrera

Watch movies and hang out with friends

My mom probably because she is a good mom.
If you could do anything in the world, what would you do? Why?
Become a vigilante and kill pedophiles because they deserve to die.
Kaitlyn Van Vleet

What do you like to do with your free time?
Spend time with my friends or play video games.
Who/what inspires the most? Why?
My siblings. They’ve helped me with so much in life and give great advice. They’re always looking out for me and show me how I can better myself.
If you could do anything in the world, what would you do? Why?
I’d want to be able to live a life carefree. Do what I want, go where I want, buy what I want etc.
Cole Evans

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I like to listen to music, spend time with friends, and watch documentaries on Netflix.
Who/what inspires you the most? Why?
My mom inspires me because she is one of the hardest working people I know, she always does the right thing when it seems nearly impossible to do so, and I can always count on her for great advice.
If you could do anything in the world, what would you do? Why?
If I could do anything in the world, I would tour all of the MLB Stadiums.
Rodrigo Sanchez

What do you like to do with your free time?
I like to watch movies and hang out with friends. I also enjoy playing Fornite occasionally.
Who/what inspires the most? Why?
My parents inspire me the most because they have always believed in me no matter how many times I have let them down and I know they will always have my back.
If you could do anything in the world, what would you do? Why?
If I could do anything in the world, I would build and live in my dream home without having to pay for anything because I have always wanted to have a nice house and I hope to someday design and build my own house.
Brian Martinez

I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also enjoy to play football on my free time.
Who/what inspires the most? Why?
The people who inspire me the most are my parents and the reason why is because everything I do and everything I have done is for them to see me succeed.
If you could do anything in the world, what would you do? Why?
If I could do anything in the world I would start my own nonprofit organization and I would like to move to London in the future. I have traveled to Europe, but I would like to visit other countries.
