Being active on campus and the community was the goal for the 2018-19 Crusader staff. Not only did they cover anything that happened on campus through stories and photos, but they they also volunteered at local schools and charities.
Crusader won the coveted Pinacle Award for the best two-year collegiate website for the school year 2018-19. This staff also produced the All-Kansas website in all divisions for the year 2018.

The SCCC Crusader news staff was awarded 33 awards all together, plus the All-Kansas award which recognizes the staffs website as the best in the whole state of Kansas, beating two and four year colleges out.

The Crusader staff won a total of 33 awards including the All-Kansas award for best website in the state. The last time Crusader won such award it was 2014.
Crusader staff celebrates each other's achievements. It was a double celebration with Daniela Carmona being accepted into nursing school and Rubi Gallegos passing the US citizenship exam.
