Where are you from? 

I’m from Plains, Kansas.

What is your major? 

I’m gonna major in elementary education. 

Are you living on the campus? 

I’m not- living at home. 

What was your freshman experience like? 

It’s been good so far. I’ve just been busy, trying to manage work in school, and made some good friends. 

What is it like to be a first-year student here?

It’s really welcoming here and the people always have a smile on their face. They want to help you. When you walk in, they always say hi to you and learn your name here. I appreciate that. 

What’s your favorite place on campus? Tell me why?

The student union, just because it’s a nice place to get away from classes but still be on campus and close to. If you have time in between, it’s nice to just go over everything. 

Where do you like to go after school?

In Fort Hayes. 

Why there? 

 I took a tour there and it felt like a second home. 

Is it easy to get around campus? Tell me why?

I grew up here. My grandpa and my dad both worked here, so I spent a lot of time out here. I just feel like everything’s where it needs to be so it’s easier.

Why did you choose this school? 

It’s a cheaper option and it’s close to home. I’m not really comfortable living too far away from home. 

What is your favorite thing about this college? Least favorite? 

Probably because it’s so close to home. There’s not much to do. I feel like we don’t have enough student events. We have our basketball games and stuff, but I feel like we need more entertainment.
