Grant Glaze and Thayna Silva smiled and stood together for pictures after being crowned king and queen on homecoming night Saturday. Glaze represented the Crusader newspaper while Silva represented ISO. The two were selected from a group of students who were picked to represent organizations and clubs for the homecoming title. Glaze and Silva were the two representatives out of the top 10 with the most votes.

The 2015 homecoming king and queen titles were presented to Crusader representative Grant Glaze and International Student Organization representative Thayna Silva.

Cancer match. The Lady Saints wore their pink uniforms to show their support of breast cancer awareness.
In between sets 2 and 3, Seward collected donations that went towards the Dig Pink Side Out Foundation.

Lady Saints bust Broncbusters

After not playing for quite a few days, the Lady Saints started a little slow Wednesday, Oct. 22, against Garden City. In front of an optimistic and support crowd at the Green House due to Dig Pink Night, a night raising funds and awareness for breast cancer, the Lady Saints found a way to knock off their rival for the 19th straight time.

Green House rocking, but Hutch came knocking

The Green House was jumping Monday night as the Seward County Lady Saints played the visiting Hutchinson Lady Blue Dragons. The Lady Saints fell in a tough battle, and the Lady Blue Dragons clinched the Jayhawk West Conference title.

It’s safe to say that the Lady Saints volleyball team has been displaying superlative teamwork in every set they play. The team had their first home game against the Dodge City Community College Conquistadors, and took the match in a sweep of three sets.

Thayna returns stronger than ever

When Thayna Silva tore her ACL in preseason last year, she shared that it was, “the worst thing that could’ve happened,” Silva said. In fact she was ready to quit volleyball altogether.
