Jalapeño eating contest puts fun into Hispanic Heritage Month activities
Six SCCC students get ready for the spiciness they are about to endure at the student union, Oct. 1. The Jalapeno Eating Contest is an annual event during Hispanic Heritage Month. When Wade Lyon, director of student life, announces they will start in five minutes, Lupita Ugalde replies, “Okay good, I have time to mentally prepare.”
