Q&A with Alyssa Adams

Meet freshman Alyssa Adams who was born and raised in Perryton, Texas. She is chasing a career in both cosmetology and sociology

Q: What do you hope to achieve this semester?

A: “Mostly making connections with the other girls and instructors because they help out a lot.”

Q: What inspired you to be in this major?

A: “Actually just makeup in general. I’ve been doing it since I was little.”

Q: What activities do you like to do?

A: “I really like pedicures because you get to sit one-on-one with your client. You get to know them more.”

Q: What activity would you like to improve on?

A: “I would like to improve on hair since I have naturally shaky hands.”

Q: Is there any other training you’re going to go to?

A: “I want to do cosmetology for a year in order to get clients. Then I plan on pursuing sociology while working at a hair salon.”

Q: What is your dream job?

A: “My dream job is cosmetology, which I can incorporate sociology into because it will help me talk to my customers.”

Q: Who is your idol?

A: “[The Youtuber] Jaclyn Hill because she started off working at Mac cosmetics store and made her way up.”
