Copies of the Telolith are given at the event to students for free. The Telolith is a magazine composed of students’ submitted artwork and writings. More copies are available in the humanities building for anyone interested.

Elizabeth Horeink stands as she tutors a student on Intermediate Algebra courses. Shandon Classen, an advisor and transfer coordinator, who is head of the tutoring lab mentioned that he has even seen Horeink put effort into trying to help students although it may be some classes that she has never even taken such as Accounting.
Seizing Success
History teacher Kevin Gleason and his wife Anita Gleason both received uniquely-made hand-stitched quilts from the Quilts of Valor Foundation. These quilts were awarded to the couple to demonstrate gratitude for their service done in the Navy.

Even though area school districts have either canceled classes for the week or reinstated masks, SCCC remains maskless. The choice is left in the hands of individuals.

Hitting the ball is Jaxson Gregg, a freshman from Keller, Texas. In the second game Gregg hit a double which brought Ranse Radtke and Jace Schneider home scoring two points.
Saints battle it out with the Trojans
Javier Gomez, Ranse Radtke and Jase Schneider celebrate by colliding their helmets together. Saints baseball lost the first game with a score of 7-2, and then they won their second game with a score of 11-0.
16 strikeouts lead to victory after a loss
Freshman, Noah Baker is an outfielder from Amarillo, Texas. Baker has gotten seven putouts so far.

The baseball team is loaded with 20 freshmen. Mike Davidson, baseball coach, says despite being young and inexperienced, they will make a good showing this season.

Men’s basketball comes from behind to beat Cloud County
Arts major, Bri Linnear is a freshman from Denver, Colorado. During her time here at Seward County Community College, she has been on the women’s basketball team.

Lady Saints lose tight contest
Zhane Thompson, sophomore point guard, rounds the top of the key to rotate the ball. She had nine points in the overtime loss against Garden City.

Zhane Thompson gets mauled by the Lady Saints team after hitting the buzzer beater. The women beat Dodge City Community College 63-60, extending their win streak to five.

Sliding into home is Paris Brienesse, a freshman from Stockholm, Sweden. Brienesse received two runs in the second game, which now brings her to 27 runs overall.

Sue Sprenkle, the mass communications instructor, transitioned from a full-time instructor to an adjunct professor for Seward County Community College this current semester. With previously 20 years of experience being a traveling journalist, Sprenkle has covered stories from major national disasters, political unrest and Olympic competitions.

Mixed Martial Arts trainer Dave Rine teaches people how to fight in different styles in his own establishment named Rine’s American Freestyle Karate. Rine also organized an event called the Throwdown Showdown, and it has been around for about twelve years.

Amy Whitaker, a behavioral science major from Liberal, presents her slideshow on a study of creative interpretation using “The Jungle” by Upton Sinclair. The presentation was a final assignment for American Literature II. The presentation included different paintings based on jungles and different insights from Whitaker on the book.

These talented actors stood in formation as they sang a variety of songs. From singing about the exciting bee to having one actor singing about knowing six languages, there were a variety of great performances given.

Salina Byrd had a hard time getting the Face Slimmer in her mouth. The product only came in one size and might be too big for some to use.

Aside from sleep and procrastination, finding a place to study is very important as well. A place like the computer labs or an empty room would be good because there is no one around to be a distraction.
