Cooler weather brings creepy crawlers inside

As the weather gets colder, spiders begin moving inside to find a warm place to hide. It’s that time of year again and the creepy crawlers are on the move.

Katelyn Craker is a sophomore who plays as a left-handed pitcher for the Lady Saints softball team. She has played more than 50 innings and has more than 50 strikeouts. She was named KJCCC Pitcher of the Week in April of 2013.

J.B. Olson a Seward baseball player who has pitched 16.0 innings and has had 14 strikeouts for the Saints he came to the diamond in Southwest Kansas from Plano, Texas.

Baseball season opener notches McSpadden’s 1100th win, team starts 2-3 in opening series

The Saints are currently 2-3 on the season. After a juggling act to decide which day would be the best weather to start the Saints season, both team’s coaches decided that Feb. 3 would be the best day to hit the diamond. This game was played against McCook, Neb. at Brent Gould Field.

The Seward baseball team swings into the 2014 season with a common goal of reaching the College World Series in Grand Junction, Colo., and a common concern that Garden City Community College may give them some serious competition in the Jayhawk West.
