The Seward band and choir winter concert will feature mostly Christmas songs at the performance 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Showcase Theater. “This year’s choir is doing great. They have eaten through everything. There are more music readers so they are learning things very fast and they sound amazing”, said Magda Silva, vocal music instructor.

The band i love you And I Miss You was on campus at Seward County Community College Oct. 16 following a performance at the New Mexico University and before doing a performance at the University of Missouri. They have been on the road for five weeks and will be on the road for two more weeks.

Kirkhart brings character to admissions

New to the faculty this year is Chandler Kirkhart. Kirkhart is the new coordinator of admissions and marketing.
Actors Brent Harris and Rashada Dawan pose with Seward students after the “Lion King” performance. Harris played “Scar,” who is Mufasa’s brother and Simba’s uncle. Dawan played “Shenzi,” the female hyena, as well as on of the legs of the elephant in the opening song of “Circle of Life.”
