Butler proves no match for Lady Saints

Seward County Community College Volleyball effortlessly swept Butler Community College in El Dorado on Wednesday, Sept. 26. The Lady Saints are now ranked number 6 and have won 30 Jayhawk Conference.

To begin the first set, Seward came in hot, winning 10 of the first 12 points. SCCC continued to grow their lead, allowing Butler to score only 13 points before winning 25-13.

In the second set, the Lady Saints kept their momentum. The Grizzlies called a timeout to try to stop the run, but nothing could shut down Seward. SCCC won the second set 25-13.

The final set was more of a game as the two teams continued trading points, tying at 6. Seward then went on a six-point run, before Butler scored 5 to only be down by one. The Lady Saints answered by scoring another 5 points, winning 25-19.

Seward will travel to Tyler, Texas over the weekend to compete against no. 6 Navarro and North Central on Friday, Sept. 28 and no. 13 Tyler and Blinn on Saturday, Sept. 29.
