Jerry Odle, Food Service director, won the 13th annual Duck Race and $5,000 with lucky duck No. 2123, on Saturday, Sept. 27. The race, which is a Liberal Chamber of Commerce fund-raiser was an all day event, with a few local businesses and non-profits. The day started with the chili cookoff at 10 a.m., followed by adult tricycle races, and then the duck race. Family entertainment was provided all day in the form of bouncy houses, puppet shows, karaoke, games, and face painting. Other money winners include Casie Yowell, SCCC student, and Steve Strickland.
