Daniela Carmona is a photographer and a writer for the spring 2019 semester.

Daniela Carmona is a full-time student with three dogs and a turtle. One of her favorite hobbies is photography. She wants to be a foster mom after completing a BSN. Carmona was born in Mexico (but raised in the U.S.) and speaks three languages. She claims to do a wonderful job at looking awkward and out of place.  She lives by a quote from George Santayana,"Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it."

This years commencement ceremony for the class of 2020 will look nothing like this, as cancellations happened due to COVID-19. A video will be uploaded this Saturday however, to recognize the efforts of the graduation class.

Hayden Marties measures ingredients for a lab project making soap. For many chemistry II students, it was trial and error. Calculations had to be made to make sure the right combination of oil and lye was mixed. Too much lye is could cause burning to skin.

Zane Alexander, Del City, Oklahoma freshman, dives bad to first base. The outfielder is known for his speed and large leads off the bag, driving opposing pitchers crazy. Alexander added two hits towards the end of the game ensuring that Seward takes a doubleheader win.

 Ready Player 1 won silver and qualified for state. It was presented by Ian Garretson and Jonathan Froese to Haydeb Martubez, one of many volunteered judges from SCCC.

Throwing pottery is Carlos Hernandez’ passion. He has been involved with the Seward County Community College class for the last six years. The class is open to students and the community. Many in the class are like Hernandez and repeatedly take it for the chance to create in the art lab.
